About the Practice
William C. Hearon has been a member of The Florida Bar since 1978, and in addition to his civil litigation practice, which focuses on commercial, business, contractual, partnership and corporate disputes, real estate and construction matters, trusts and estates cases, patent infringement, fraud, and class actions, he has been mediating cases since 1991.
His mediation practice has covered a broad range of cases in both state and Federal courts involving individuals, classes, privately held entities, publicly traded companies, municipal/local governments, and sovereign nations. In addition to mediating commercial cases, he has mediated various types of significant person injury matters, medical malpractice, premises liability, insurance claims, and other tort cases.
He has, however, focused primarily on mediating commercial cases including class actions involving publicly traded companies, construction, real estate brokerage, and insurance coverage claims, employment and discrimination disputes, civil RICO claims, copyright, trademark, trade name, trade dress and other IP claims, internet and computer technology cases, distributor and agency cases, director and officer liability claims, partnership and shareholder disputes, corporate dissolutions, as well as a broad range of contract, lease and business fraud disputes.
